Chevrolet has released the performance data of its new Corvette ZR1X, which is surprising the whole world. This car has touched those speed figures, which till now were the names of hypercars worth crores of rupees. In a recent test, this car proved that it is one of the fastest cars in the world.

Chevrolet has confirmed that the ZR1X has shown excellent performance on the track. This car achieved speed from 0 to 60 miles (about 96 kilometers per hour) in just 1.68 seconds. It completed the journey of 400 meters (quarter mile) in just 8.675 seconds. The surprising thing is that these figures have not been obtained from any racing fuel, but from ordinary petrol pump oil. These figures bring this car to the top in the list of fastest production cars in the world.

Chevrolet has compared this car (Corvette ZR1X) with the most expensive cars in the world. While the Corvette ZR1X took 1.68 seconds to achieve the speed of 0-60 mph, other famous hypercars of the world took more time to achieve this speed.
Pininfarina Battista – 1.79 seconds
Bugatti Tourbillon – 1.9 seconds

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut – 2.4 seconds
Only Rimac Nevera (1.66 seconds) is ahead by a small margin.

While the rest of the hypercars mentioned above are priced in crores (approximately Rs 20 to Rs 50 crore), the Corvette ZR1X has a starting price of around Rs 2,09,700 (approximately Rs 1.75 crore). Providing such tremendous speed at a low price is the biggest success of Chevrolet.

There is tremendous engineering behind this car, which helped it achieve the fastest speed. A hybrid powertrain has been given in this car. A twin-turbo V8 engine sits directly behind the driver, while an electric motor powers the car’s front wheels. Both together give a power of 1,250 horsepower. Also, due to power being supplied to all four wheels, this car gets all-wheel drive (AWD) and quick pick-up.

Often companies put racing fuel or special tires in cars to make records, but this is not the case with ZR1X. This car uses ordinary petrol which is available at common petrol pumps. It used Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, which are meant for daily driving on the road. This is the same car as the customer will get from the showroom. The company says that this is not a specially tuned racing car. The car that the customer will get from the showroom will be fully roadworthy and will have the same power.
