Maulana Mamluqur Rahman Burke, father of SP MP Ziaur Rehman Burke, has openly announced to contest elections from Sambhal assembly seat. He expressed his intentions through a video. Also, regarding the ticket claim from SP and the sitting MLA, he said that till date he has not done anything for Sambhal.

Maulana Mamluqur Rahman Burke, father of Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rehman Burke, has created a stir in political circles by announcing that he will contest the assembly elections. In a video released, he said that he will contest elections from Sambhal Assembly. He said that he is in Samajwadi Party and he is confident that he will get the assembly ticket from SP because the people are with him.

Responding to the claim for ticket by Suhail Iqbal, son of MLA Iqbal Mahmood, he said that anyone can make a claim, but time takes the real decision. He said that ticket and representation should be given to only those who can properly raise the voice of the people and fight for their rights.

On the question of relations with MLA Iqbal Mahmood, Maulana Mamluqur Rahman Burke said that relations have their place, but it is completely a matter of politics and public representation. In this, it is not seen who has good relations with whom or who is whose son or relative. He said that now it will not happen that any Aira-Gaira Natthu-Gaira will be made MLA.

He said that those who were made MLAs over the years, what did they do for Sambhal? Sambhal did not get anything special, due to which there is resentment among the public. He claimed that this situation is also in the knowledge of the party leadership and Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav and he is fully aware of the reality of the MLA.

Sadar MLA said – Party will decide

On the announcement of MP’s father Mamluqur Rahman Burke to contest the elections, current SP MLA of Sambhal Assembly Iqbal Mahmood said that first of all he should be asked in this regard that if he is in SP, if the party gives ticket to anyone other than him, will he contest the elections. The rest of the party will decide. That will be acceptable.
