The singer of the film was Kishore Kumar and the responsibility of music was given to RD Burman. The duo also recorded a dummy song for Rajesh.
But later Rajesh Khanna left that film and then actor Firoz Khan entered it. Firoz liked that song and advised him to record it in full. But Kishore Da refused to sing it. After this, Firoz got angry and told the makers that “Only Kishore da will sing the song otherwise I will leave the film.
