UP Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh said that under the provisions of the RTE Act, children from economically weaker sections and deprived sections also get the right to study in private schools. They get free admission in private schools and further their fees are paid by the concerned government.
RTE UP 2026: Admission in three phases
- UP Basic Education Department said that under the RTE Act 2009, the process of admission to 25 percent seats in private schools will start in February 2026.
- The date for filling UP RTE admission form will be from 2nd February.
- The admission process will be completed in a total of three phases.
- The first phase of UP RTE admission will run from 2 February to 16 February 2026.
- The second phase will run from 21 February to 7 March 2026.
- The third phase will start from March 12 and will be completed on March 25.
How will UP RTE Form be filled?
UP School Education Director General Monica Rani said that ‘to keep the admission process transparent, the entire schedule has been released together. Applications will be taken online. to the parents UP RTE website You will have to go and fill the form. All the required documents will also have to be uploaded here. After that the education officer will verify all the documents and shortlist the eligible children. Then the children will be selected by taking out the list through lottery system. The education department will continuously monitor this entire process.

RTE Admission UP: What documents are required?
According to the information given by the Uttar Pradesh Education Department, for RTE Admission 2026-27 in UP, you will need these documents, which you will have to upload on the same portal while filling the online form – Aadhar card of the child’s father or mother, income certificate, residence certificate, caste certificate, ration card, pension or disability related certificate (if applicable), child’s birth certificate.
