First session of JEE ends, more than 13 lakhs appeared
For engineering courses Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main 2026) The first session is over. It is for Paper 1 (BE- B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch- B. Planning). The paper for BE-B.Tech was held between 21st and 28th January and for B.Arch and B.Tech on 29th January. There was a planning exam. A total of 13,50,969 candidates had applied, out of which 13,00,368 (96.26 percent) have appeared for the exam. To prevent any kind of irregularities, biometric system was also implemented for almost all the candidates. In the test conducted for B.Arch and B. Planning courses, 68,833 applied and 48,027 i.e. about 70 percent appeared for the exam. The result of the first round will be declared by February 12.
Mapping at exam centres, candidates did not face any problem
This time NTA mapped all the exam centers and the effect of this was that the candidates did not face any problem at the centres. The second round of entrance test will be held in April. This time also most of the students seem satisfied with the question paper. Many candidates who score well in the first round examination do not appear in the second round examination. However, those who do not score well, they also have a chance to appear for the second round of examination. The second round examination will be held between April 2-9.
CUET UG 2026 registration can be done till 4th February
Common University Entrance Test This time the registration process for (CUET- UG) 2026 was started on January 3. A senior NTA official says that emails have been received from students that some problems have arisen regarding payment and many students have submitted the form but the fees have not been deposited. Therefore, now registration in CUET can be done till 4th February and fees can be deposited online till 7th February. More than 10 lakh applications have been received for CUET so far. The exam will be held between 11-31 May. There will be time till 9-11 January for correction in the form.
NEET UG applications will also start soon
country’s largest Medical Entrance Exam NEET (UG) Online registration will start in the next few days. The Education Ministry has approved the schedule to start the application process for the medical test. If we look at the trend of the last few years, 23 to 24 lakh candidates apply for this biggest examination of the country. This test is conducted for admission to MBBS, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Ayurveda, Unani and Siddha medical courses. Sources say that the Education Ministry has held several rounds of meetings regarding the schedule and security of the NEET UG exam and now the notification will be issued.
Preparation for further CUET and medical tests
For the past few years, it was seen that students faced a lot of problems at the time of applying for any major entrance test and the difficulties increased further at the time of exam, but the first round of JEE Main, the first major exam of 2026, has been successfully completed. NTA has crossed the first hurdle but there are still many challenges. Earlier there used to be mistakes in JEE results right from the answer key to the final result, this time NTA will also keep an eye on the results. After this there will also be challenge of CUET and medical test. It is hoped that in 2026, students will not face problems regarding entrance tests.
