Due to heavy rains, immediate measures have been taken by the system to increase the water income in Umiasagar Dam. At 7:15 pm, 5 gates of the dam have been opened up to 1.5 meters. A red alert has been issued for low-lying areas like Sidsar, Hariyasan, Charelia and Rabarika villages as the dam water level reaches 69.5 meters.
