‘Girl Education Festival and School Entrance Festival – 2026’ has been completed in Gujarat. More than 16.35 lakh children have been nominated and more than 28.97 crore Lokdana has been received.
Shala Praveshotsav 2026: The three-day Kanya Kelavani Mohotsav and School Entrance Festival – 2026, which is the Mahayagna of education in the state, has been concluded with enthusiasm. In which a total of more than 16.35 lakh students from across the state have participated in this education campaign by enrolling in schools during three days.
More than 37 thousand schools covered
The program was organized in a total of 8,287 villages and 12,495 schools across the state on June 25, the last day of Pravesh Festival. Under this programme, a total of 27,959 dignitaries including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, office bearers and high officials visited various schools to welcome the children and boosted the enthusiasm of the students for admission. Thus a total of 25,625 villages and 37,211 schools have been covered across the state in three days from 23 to 25 June 2026.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi’s guidance and Education Minister Dr. Under the leadership of Pradyuman Waja and Minister of State for Education Rivaba Jadeja, the state government is fully committed to ensure that no child of the state is deprived of the right to education. A new generation of lakhs of children have enrolled in school and registered a record breaking enrollment during this great festival of education.

More than 62 thousand children performed Akshar Gyanana Shriganesh today
Today, more than 62 thousand children performed Akshar Gyanesh in Anganwadi and Kindergarten during Pravesh Festival. A total of more than 1.46 lakh new nominations have been registered in Balwatika. Apart from this, more than 34 thousand in class-1, more than 1.79 lakh in class-9, as many as 91,613 students in class-11 and according to ‘Back to School Survey’ as many as 25,070 students got admission enthusiastically making the school entrance festival a real success.
Vidyalakshmi Bond to 3,935 girls
Moreover, as many as 999 schools have been provided modern transport facility by the state government today. Apart from this, to further boost girl education, 3,935 talented girls of the state were given ‘Vidyalakshmi Bond’ during the Pravesh Festival to encourage them to pursue higher education.
Good cooperation of people
The generous people of the state have supported this education yajna with open arms by giving it the form of a Lokotsav. During this campaign a total of Rs. More than 10.71 crores of financial aid was received. In it Rs. 1.52 crores in cash form as well as Rs. Various educational equipment worth more than 9.18 crores were gifted to the schools. Thus, during the three days, donors from all over the state in the form of cash and goods totaled Rs. Donating more than 28.97 crores has further boosted this yajna of education.
‘Kanya Kelavani Mohotsav and School Entrance Festival – 2026’ is becoming not just an event, but a living symbol of the state government’s commitment to education, community participation and Gujarat’s strong determination towards a bright future.

With the objective of increasing the literacy rate in Gujarat and ensuring 100 per cent enrollment of every child in the state, the 24th edition of ‘Kanya Kelavani Mohotsav and School Entrance Festival – 2026’ was inaugurated on June 23 by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at Vadnagar’s historic BN. It was started statewide from high school. This educational Mahaparva was initiated where the country’s Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi received his schooling.
