Ahmedabad News: Ahmedabad Crime Branch has busted the black business of drugs running in spa centers in Vastral area of ​​the city and arrested two managers. The police team has seized 150 grams of Mephedrone (MD) drugs, estimated to be worth Rs 4.5 lakh, from the accused. Both the arrested accused have been interrogated and further action has been taken.

According to the details of the incident, the crime branch received specific information that two persons were dealing in illegal drugs at Suryam Elegance flat near Madhav Farm in Vastral. Based on this information, the team conducted an investigation and arrested two persons named Tejas Thakkar and Ajay Jaiswal. During the investigation, 150.090 grams of MD drugs were recovered from him, the market value of which is approximately Rs. 4.50 lakh has been assessed. Preliminary investigation revealed that the two accused were running two separate spas in Vastral’s Crystal Complex and were supplying drugs to customers.

During the interrogation, it was revealed that both the accused were ordering the quantity of this narcotic substance from Rajasthan. Drugs were procured from suppliers in Rajasthan and retailed in Ahmedabad. Currently, the Crime Branch has conducted a search for the main supplier from Rajasthan, and has started an investigation to find out how many are involved. Among the arrested accused are Tejas alias Tejubhai Upendra Bhai Thakkar from Patdi in Surendranagar and Ajay Jaiswal from Banaras in Uttar Pradesh.

Crime branch officer I.N. Giving details in this matter, Ghasura said that there is a campaign of strict action against the people involved in drug trade in Gujarat. We received certain inputs that some spa operators are not only providing spa services, but also providing illegal drugs to customers. Based on the information received, the police conducted an investigation with the help of human intelligence and technical surveillance. Both the persons caught with drugs are being interrogated.
