grade A: Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadejagrade B: Washington Sundar, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer.
Grade C: Akshar Patel, Tilak Verma, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dubey, Arshdeep Singh, Sanju Samson, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Dhruv Jurel, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakraborty, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Sai Sudarshan, Ravi Bishnoi, Ruturaj Gaikwad.
These 5 including Shami and Ishaan are on leave
BCCI has removed 5 names included in the central contract last time. Star fast bowler Mohammed Shami is also included in this. Shami last played a match for India in the Champions Trophy. Ishan Kishan’s name, which is included in the team of T20 World Cup 2026, is also not in the contract. Along with this, fast bowlers Mukesh Kumar, Sarfaraz Khan and Rajat Patidar have also been dropped.

Only one new name included
This time only one new name has got a place in the central contract. Left-handed batsman Sai Sudarshan has come in Grade C. He is part of the Indian team in Test. Sai made his Test debut for India during the England tour. So far, he has scored 302 runs in 6 Tests for India at an average of 27. This includes two fifties.
Who got promoted and demotion?
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were earlier in Grade A Plus i.e. top grade. Now both have come to grade B i.e. number-2 grade. Along with this, Akshar Patel has also moved from B to C grade. Whereas Shubhman Gill has reached top grade from second grade. Washington Sundar has also been promoted. Since Gautam Gambhir became the head coach, he has been playing all three formats. Sundar is now in B grade. Last time he was in C grade.
