The Food and Consumer Protection Department of Bihar Government has issued a notice in this regard. According to this, all the members whose name is in the ration card will have to get their eKYC done. No fee will be charged for this. Even those ration card holders who are outside the state can also do eKYC through the mobile app. However, this facility is not available for ration card holders living in UP, Himachal, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha, Puducherry and West Bengal.

What is the last date for ration card eKYC?

Bihar government has given time till 28th February to get the EKYC done for the ration card. Till 28th February, everyone can complete this important work offline or online. If the work is not done by this deadline then the ration given under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana will not be available.

How to get eKYC for ration card done by going to the shop

To get eKYC done, you can go to the nearest Public Distribution System shop. Here you will have to carry your Aadhar card and ration card. The shopkeeper will complete the eKYC work by doing biometric verification through the e-POS machine. Biometric verification will be done either through your fingerprints or through the iris. Remember that you do not have to pay any money to the shopkeeper for this work. This facility is completely free.

1. in your mobile ‘My KYC’ And Aadhaar FaceRD download the mobile app
2. Open ‘My KYC’ mobile app by opening your location
3. Select Bihar as your state in this
4. Here the option of Verify Location will appear, verify it.
5. Now enter your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number and verify with OTP.
6. Now your details will appear and Face eKYC button will appear below.
7. As soon as you click on it, your mobile camera will turn on.
8. Bring your face inside the circle visible in the camera
9. As soon as this circle turns green, your eKYC work will be completed.
10. To check, open the app again and if Y is written on the status of eKYC, it means the work is done.

Why is EKYC of ration card necessary?

Many flaws have been found in the verification of ration card holders in 38 districts of Bihar. After this, the process of deleting names of 52 lakh 22 thousand people has also started. There are more than 2 crore 10 lakh ration cards in Bihar.
